Festival of Lubuskie New Wine
A yearly event organised in the Lubuskie Winemaking Centre in Zabór. Crowds of people, including both tourists and residents of the region, attend the event. The festival refers to the customs of winemakers from France where on the 3rd Thursday of November, people drink a new beaujolais noveau.
Following the French example, at this point, winemakers from the Lubuskie province make their new wine available for tasting for participants of the event.
Wine from the first harvest
Just as in the French tradition, the wine presented during our local festival is the first one made after the harvest.
Additionally, culinary workshops and show presented by well-known Polish cooks, such as Jan Kuroń or Matuesz Gessler, forms one of the key points in the programme. The cook’s show is all about preparing exquisite dishes with use of regional products, before the audience’s very eyes.
