The Festival of Lubuskie New Wine
A yearly event organized in the Lubuskie Viticulture Centre in Zabór. Crowds of people including both tourists and residents of the region attend the event. The holiday refers to the customs of winemakers from France where on the 3rd Thursday of November people drink a new beaujolais noveau.
At that point, winemakers from the lubuskie region make their wine available to taste for participants of the event.
Wine from the first harvest
Following the example of French tradition, this wine is the first one made after the harvest. Culinary workshops and show presented by well-known Polish cooks, such as Jan Kuroń or Matuesz Gessler, forms one of the key points in the programme. The cook’s show is all about preparing exquisite dishes before the audience very eyes with use of regional products.
