Zielona Góra’s edition of American football
Wataha Zielona Góra is a sports club that operates since 2010.
Primarily, the team’s name sounded Dragons, however, since 2017 the club plays as Wataha which means “a pack” and relates to a wolf in the club’s emblem.
The team plays its games at the stadium at 66 Botaniczna Street. What is interesting, this stadium is one of few such places in Poland entirely adapted for American football.
Atmosphere like in NFL
Brisk introductions of the players on the field together with the team’s striking game makes the stands filled with spectators. Thanks to such support and cheers of the fans, the competition is much easier and more enjoyable. This all creates an atmosphere comparable almost to the one in the famous American football league – NFL.
Not only does Wataha aim at winning each game of LFA1 (America Football League 1), but it also wants to promote the whole discipline.
